In September of 2013 the ministry of Comfort My People began in the office of a large global mission organization that was working in 79 countries. Until then Paul, now Director, led small construction teams for them in the nations they served.
One evening in their office in Virginia, the President asked Paul if he would consider beginning ministry in Israel. Jokingly he said, “Give me 15 seconds and I’ll pray about it.”
Without prior experience in what he terms, “professional Christianity,” Paul asked the Jewish Carpenter from Galilee how to proceed. He was led to seek Israeli Believers who are Biblically literate and focused, known for their integrity and compassion, serve the poor, and co-labor with their Arab believing brothers and sisters.
Since then, CMP has supported ministry partners in Israel who are Jewish, Gentile, Ethiopian, Arab, and Palestinian as the One New Man. We have sponsored Bible translation and distribution, mothers who choose to give life to their babies in the midst of harsh circumstances, feed and clothe the large population of immigrants and impoverished, discipleship programs for soldiers coming out of wars, pre-schools for children from every background, provide free legal aid to fight injustice, companionship for Holocaust Survivors, outreaches to the Arabs, Jews, Palestinians, and Druze always with compassion, sensitivity, and respect so that the Name of Yeshua would be honored and people would be drawn to love Him.
