A Thousand Words

My original intention for this article was to display a striking photo I discovered below the above title. It looked like a scene from a Hollywood thriller, and would have spoken for itself, However I learned that it was private property even though I was able to download it. If I published it without permission I could be fined $150,000 dollars. I learned the photographer was a Palestinian who claimed to have been taken prisoner by the IDF, mistreated in the jail and released. I had this eerie sense that someone was trolling the photo to see who would download it as freely as I did, then use it as bait to bring criminal charges. I must confess that I was tempted.
Without the picture worth a thousand words– I will write what I saw.

The sky was grey from sand and dust that filled the air from the incoming trucks. The one in front was a recent model black pickup pockmarked from gunfire and one
headlight shielded. Behind it was a large delivery truck carrying a container with another one in tow. On top and along the sides of each truck were Palestinians carrying machine guns pointed to the sky. One man held his hand high in victory. Seemingly waiting, a crowd of young men and boys stood or sat on a pile of pallets as if they were spectators in an arena. One man held his fist high with a “thumbs up”. They all looked well fed.

Clearly this was no ordinary delivery, but a successful heist.

I am not a defense attorney for Israel, but if I was, I could argue the facts about the evil intentions of Hamas and caution that the IDF has taken to not harm civilians.

I am appalled at how reckless the truth is being trampled on the ground. Even though previous allegations regarding hospital casualties have been exposed as false, Hamas continues to use hospitals as military bases in the tunnels beneath them. To them, humans are expendable if it serves their cause.

“Who are these people, and why are they guarding these trucks,” I asked myself,
“And why are they armed to the teeth?”

“Who do they think is going to steal from them? The people on the sideline? Do the
onlookers seem like they are starving?”

It’s been proven that Hamas has been stealing the food deliveries intended for their
citizens and keeping them for themselves, then sell what remains to their own people.

Israel is feeding those who are out to kill them.

The evidence of the evil intentions of Hamas is overwhelming. If they remain in power the citizens of Gaza will self-destruct. They have shown clearly, they have no regard for their lives and have used them as human shields repeatedly.

Has anyone ever heard of a nation that savagely attacked another by raping and
murdering their mothers and babies then destroying their homes? They brutally killed hundreds of unarmed civilians and abducted hundreds more, before dragging them through their streets into captivity as trophies. At the same time, they fired hundreds of missiles into multiple civilian locations throughout Israel.

All this began on Israel’s last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which is their most joyous holiday of the year.

It wasn’t long after Israel retaliated that the world accused them of genocide, apartheid and starving the Gazan population. None of these charges will stick once a court of justice is in session, but isn’t it strange that Israel is expected to feed the people who attacked them in an attempt to accomplish what they have promised for years–the annihilation of the Jewish people?

When Joshua was appointed to lead the Israelites into the promised Land, God commanded him to conquer the people who lived there because their practices were so vile and destructive to human existence. That concept is foreign to most of the world, as it should be. Modern Israel has not been called by God to conquer anyone, nor have they ever attempted.

But they must defend their people against the evil ambitions of those who seek their destruction, as should` all civilized governments. Hamas is not merely an evil ideology. Their name in Hebrew means “violence,” and they portray their identity well.

When the world chants for their success, as it has in a variety of ways, they are rooting for evil. Israel is not the “good guy,” but we must exercise common sense to understand her need to end this war for good, not just for themselves but for the nations of the world, before this evil spreads like covid across the globe.

Silence is complicit. We can no longer balance the truth on our own scales out of fear of the enemy. God expects more of us.

The only solution to the Middle East conflict is for the Prince of Peace to make His Presence known in the hearts of those who oppose Him. Our Israeli Jewish and Arab partners have been joyfully sharing the message of the unfailing love of Yeshua to both Jew and Arab alike.

It is Satan’s plan to keep that from happening. Our war is with him, but we do not fight it with the weapons of men. Our brothers and sisters in Israel are eager to go to the front lines of the battle for the souls of men, but the enemy has successfully prevented that for too long. They can’t do it alone. They need the church to at least hold up their arms, like Aaron and Hur did for Moses.

Please pray for a breakthrough. I know Palestinians who have come to faith in Yeshua. Their love for Yeshua and the Jewish people is genuine. Jesus shatters the ancient hostility lodged in the souls of men when faith comes alive, in Him. Then two who lived in enmity become one new man, just as God promised.

He is the only solution for this conflict and all others. Please consider joining us in supporting their efforts.
