“The times, they are a-changing…”

Bob Dylan

Things have changed so much since then, I hardly know where to start. The world is being syphoned into a pond of poisonous propaganda. Has anyone noticed? I can point in so many directions, but I will stick to Israel, the biblical homeland of the patriarchs, prophets, apostles and Jesus. Is there any nation that has NOT turned against her? I would like to say America, but I’m afraid that support is steadily shrinking.

Before I proceed, Israel is no better or more important than any other nation. They have issues with immorality and unethical government practices just like all the nations, but one thing is for certain. No other nation is hated like Israel.

Christians should be the pace setters of our culture regarding truth and righteousness, but when it comes to Israel, it seems they have forfeited the race.

The accusations against Israel are mounting up rapidly without any factual backing. Truth has fallen, not only in the streets, but in homes, the workplace and the churches. Every media outlet is blaming Israel for starving Gazans and stealing their land with a vengeance, through military force. Could this be true?

Have we forgotten the enemy is a liar and the father of all lies? Why should these lies, which originate in Gaza, Egypt and Qatar–breeding grounds for radical Islamic terrorist doctrine–be accepted without challenge? Satan is not only a liar, but a murderer, thief, and accuser. Israel has been falsely labeled of all three. Jesus made it clear that widespread deception would be the primary sign of His soon return. However before He returned, the Bride would make herself ready. Are we there yet? We need more than a wake up call, we need an ice plunge.

Israeli Druze trying to get into Syria to help their people

Last week over 1100 Druze and 25 Christians were slaughtered by Islamic militants 32 miles from Israel’s border.* Within two days, Israel launched air strikes into Syria to stop the assault. It worked, however the headlines were not about the massacre but about Israel’s attack. Why did Israel get involved and risk another round of accusations–this time to be called war mongers? The truth is they went to rescue their friends, the Druze minority, who were defenseless. That’s what friends do. This was one of several headlines, defaming Israel’s heroism.

Israel Bombs Damascus, stoking conflict with Syria’s new government**

They targeted with precision, military facilities and supply depots. There were six reported civilian casualties. *** Have there been any corrections from the media? Has there been a voice from the Church thanking Israel for her sacrifice on behalf of her neighbors’ near extinction? Or condemning the atrocities of these barbaric militants?

We believe the church which Jesus said He would build was made to triumph. But we first need to be honest. Are we missing something? Have we gone off track?

(To be continued…)

PAUSE: If you are not familiar with the terms, “one new man;” “eternal purpose of God,” and “we are His masterpiece,” read Ephesians 2 and 3 before you proceed or you may have difficulty understanding the remaining portion.

Please give this your careful consideration.

As followers of Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, we (CMP) carry a portion of the gospel message that has been so often misunderstood and overlooked, that it seems like science fiction! It’s not.

It was given to the apostles and prophets in Paul’s day by divine inspiration. God intended His followers to spread this invitation for the benefit of mankind for centuries, yet it has been resisted and rejected for just as long. Satan gets it though, and he has done all he can to prevent its success.

Its roots are in the Garden of Eden where God pronounced a curse on Satan for deceiving Eve and the harm he would cause her descendants through the line of Seth (Genesis 3:15). From that lineage came the Jewish people. As time went on, they were given a specific piece of real estate where they would become a nation and the redemption story be told. From the Jewish people came the most unique man to walk the earth, who would one day end Satan’s ambition to destroy all that God created, especially the Jews. His name is Yeshua—Jesus.

It is universally known that Jesus died for our sins. To all who would believe, He purchased forgiveness and eternal life with His blood. He created another component on the cross though, that is easily missed.

According to Ephesians 2:15, when Jesus was crucified, He created peace. The Jewish followers of Jesus, and their Gentile counterparts who were enemies through the centuries, became brothers who served together in a very hostile world. This was unheard of, yet undeniable. God called it, His masterpiece. (2:10)

That was according to His eternal purpose. Together in Jesus, this newly formed coalition, which the Bible calls “the one new man,” will one day crush Satan’s head and his vast demonic kingdom will be destroyed. (Eph 2:16; Romans 16:20)

To prevent Jews and Gentiles from growing into a force he could not stop, Satan devised a plan that has proved successful through the ages.

His devices– -which we are taught not to be ignorant of—began with a misinformation campaign accompanied by an all-out assault against the Jewish people. He accused them of collectively murdering Jesus Christ. Without fact- checking, the lie was widely embraced and spawned ceaseless attempts to destroy the Jewish people.

Why did Satan single out the Jews for genocide and not the Gentiles?

The answer is simple. He did the math. If he could keep the Jewish population from growing, the people separated, and the biblical teaching concerning oneness concealed, he was free to continue his reign of terror on earth.

In the first century the “one new man” was a powerful entity. Jewish and Gentile followers of Jesus–bound by brotherly love—reflected His nature so effectively, that Satan had to take notice. Without any planned events or campaigns, here is a report of the believer’s service together in one accord.

“This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.” (Act 19:10)

And so began his scheme of disruption through deception. It was simple—divide and conquer. Since the Gentiles were a large and growing number, he would seek to destroy the Jews. If there were no longer “two,” there could be no “one new man.” If he could use the Gentiles, so much the better.

His plan went into effect and for centuries it went unchallenged.

As the Jews steadily migrated away from their Land in search of safety, the enemy followed their tracks.

For his plan to succeed, he needed people to assist. Over the centuries he enlisted countless followers, which gave him little–if any–resistance. The better-known players in history who were willing to evict or kill the Jews were from the Roman church, the Crusaders, Spanish Inquisition, England, France, and Portugal official Evictions, the Pogroms of Russia, many Arab nations and ultimately the Nazis who collected Jews from the nations all over Europe who agreed to Hitler’s “Final Solution.”

For those who require facts and stats, consider this.

In 1940 the population of Egyptians was 17 million, today it is 118.4 million.

In 1940 the population of Indians was 387 million, today it is 1.4 billion.

In 1940 the population of Jews was 16.5 million, today it is 15.8 million

Over the past 85 years the Egyptian population grew at a rate of 2.3%, the Indian population grew at 1.6% and the Jewish population shrunk at a rate of .05%.

The reason for that is the Nazis, under satanic influence, were able to kill over one third of the world’s Jews in only five years. Satan failed, but he hasn’t quit. Just look around. Even though they are only .2% of the world population, they are here and they are still hated.

How did the Jews survive? Certainly not by military prowess, because they had NO way of defense before they became a nation. The Jews remain on the planet because God promised their longevity would be forever. And He is the promise keeper.

In God’s mercy, He has given the Jewish people another opportunity to fulfill their calling, which was to be a light to the Nations of the world. Jesus came to earth to seek and to save the lost sheep of the house of Israel for that purpose.

For them to be “light,” He had to be their source. God intended them to be a beacon, shining from the land of Israel. The religious leaders of Israel chose differently and most of the people followed them—also by choice. However, no one chose the consequence of being dispersed into the nations, even though the prophets warned them. God does not overlook our transgressions, but He does give us the second chance and even more.

According to Romans 11:1, 25, in the first century, God opened the opportunity for the Gentiles to play the role as light bearers to the world. He also empowered them by the power of His Holy Spirit. That has lasted for about 19 centuries.

Many theologians believe that “the times of the Gentiles” is ending. (Lk. 21:24) Are the results what God intended? Let’s be honest, has the beacon of Light shined as it did in the early church? Were the gates of Hell to prevail against the church? Why has wickedness spread so wide that it looks like the days of Noah?

Perhaps God is now giving the church a “second chance.”

To put this into perspective, the “keys to the Kingdom” were assigned to the Jews from Moses’ day until the first century, a period of less than 1500 years, without the power of the Holy Spirit poured out upon individuals.

This may sound contradictory, but I believe the church has been given many second chances and does not look much different than Israel.

But, here’s the good news—we have another chance. It’s not chance though, its purpose. In fact, it was and is God’s eternal purpose that we never serve separately, but together. History has proven that alone we fail, yet together we triumph.

For the one new man to resurrect, the two must become one again. It has already begun and is growing in number. That does not mean Christians won’t be a target of the enemy. In fact—in anticipation of this day, he has ramped up his assaults on Christians significantly in the past several decades, mostly unnoticed though. (Revelation 12:17)

This is why our message is vital and why we want to spread it.

The “times, they are a-changing,” but we can reverse the direction. Big ships turn slowly. We must each decide the role we are called to play. I suggest you begin by speaking out. The lies regarding Israel in the vast media are almost entirely poisonous propaganda. Check your sources with the Holy Spirit and respond accordingly.

Be strong and of good courage!

Our thanks to you who have stuck with us, we will do all we can to keep you informed and up to date with our believing family in Israel.

We’ve got a lot of work ahead and with God’s help, we will triumph over the enemy.

B’Yachad~~Together!

Shalom~Paul
